For 11 years now on Oroville dam, there has been a 30-minute fireworks show on the fourth of July. This event is sponsored by the Department of Water resources, Sunrise Rotary Club of Oroville, in cooperation with the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the City of Oroville, and local businesses.  Thousands of people show up every year. They gather around the lake at many different places like the top of the mile-long Oroville Dam and on the lake itself, boats were provided for spectators. No cars are allow at the dam during the show, but there will be buses provided to transport people for free, and food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available there from non-profit vendors.
